Originally a convent, the house is very spacious and airy; Set slightly back from the quayside it stands on the harbour at the village centre.

This beautiful island has some of the most crystal clear water you are likely to find anywhere. Swimming in the sea is a joy, but if you prefer you can walk around the harbour to the nearby hotel to enjoy their outdoor swimming pool, solarium and buffet service.

The living and sleeping accommodation are on the first and second floors. Traditionally, the ground floor was used as a cellar for wine making and olive oil pressing. Access is via a stone staircase at the front of the house leading to a small sunny terrace overlooking the sea. On the first floor, rooms lead off a long corridor. Windows at the front of the building have sea views. The rear windows open up onto lush gardens behind.

Here is the large refurbished shower room with sea views; a single bedroom overlooking the garden. Then a huge and beautiful double bedroom. Next door, the kitchen with doors that lead out to a large tiled dining terrace with its table for 8, and the enclosed garden. The satellite/Tv room is upstairs with programmes in English, German, French and Italian as well as Croatian Tv. From this a corridor leads to two further large bedrooms, one with sea views, the other with windows overlooking both the garden and the sea. The house has plentiful storage.

The Croatian weather warms up in April. You can swim in the sea from 1st June. July/August are very hot months. September/October are as hot as an English summer so care must be taken to apply sunscreen to protect against sunburn.
