The apartment is located on the first floor in a villa literally overlooking the sea and surrounded by greenery.

Due to its position, it is bathed in sunlight all day and in all seasons. Surrounded by nature, far from traffic noise, a vacation here means complete relaxation and the enjoyment of an enchanting panorama; the villa boasts views over the "Li Galli" islands, the Faraglioni rocks of Capri and a typical postcard-like view of Positano, offering its guests an extraordinary and breathtaking spectacle from dawn until dusk.

After parking in the grounds of the villa (automatic gate), the apartment is accessed via a tree-lined avenue.

The apartment has its own entrance (about 15 steps) and is delightfully decorated and furnished with all modern comforts, composed of two double bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower, a very welcoming living room with balcony and a kitchen with a fully functioning open-hearth fire as its focus and accessing a terrace above the sea. Apartment guests may use the villa's private descent to the sea, which via 500 steps through its own pinewood accesses a private rocky bathing area with crystalline waters.

End-of-stay cleaning to pay on site (Eur 50).

Just 700 metres from the villa there is the famous "Taverna del Leone" restaurant which since 1960 has offered its guests a renowned typical local cuisine with a host of special dishes and competitive prices.

3km from Positano and 2km from Praiano - both well connected via public transport - where grocery stores and any kind of shops are found. Bus stop by the gate of the apartment. Timetables available in the apartment

The apartment sleeps 4 but an extra bed for a 5th person can be added on request at extra cost.

The upper floor of this villa which sleeps up to 8 can also be rented making it possible for a group of 13 to be accommodated.

The villa is beautifull, the view og it marvelous.The kitchen can be little bit well equipped, e.g. microvawe oven, some more usable pots. The private beach is very good, but uncomfortable due to the 500 steps and lack of sun umbrella and beds.

My three friends and I LOVED the apartment. It was in the perfect location. We were able to walk into Positano, but it also gave us the seclusion we were looking for.
We didn't have any problems except that we ran out of toilet paper mid week. The view was amazing and you have to be around for the sunset because it just kept getting more beautiful.

One of the best self-catering holidays we have every had. A superb apartment. It is very comfortable and spacious with two double bedrooms and two very well appointed showerrooms (one en-suite). The lovely large kitchen with a dishwasher made life very easy for self-catering. One of the bathrooms has a washing machine in it, which means you do not need to bring too much luggage.

The view from the balcony is stunning and we never got tired of looking at it!

The apartment is cleaned each week and the linen changed. The only thing we would have liked was a broom to sweep the floors - particularly because the flying ants hatched one evening whilst we were there and it was difficult to get rid of the dead bodies once we had sprayed.

The weather was fabulous while we were there and very hot but we were still able to sleep at night because the bedrooms have ceiling fans to keep you cool.

Guida Salvatore, the owner, was very welcoming on our arrival and was able to give us lots of information on the "must see" attractions in the area.

We actually drove from the UK and so had our own transport, but the local bus service is good and cheap - just ?1 each each way into Positano village and from Positano you can get a boat to most of the places you will want to go - Naples, Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri, etc. etc. There is also a regional bus service which goes further afield and timetables for both services were found in the apartment.

The apartment has a private "beach" reached via 500 steps - it is rocky with plenty of space for lying out for sunbathing and ladder access to the sea. The water is crystal clear and warm.

Our recommendations for some must do activities are Pompei ruins, Herculaneum, Paestum. Vesuvius, Naples - subterranean tunnels and Roman theatre, Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, boat trip to Capri, boat trip to Esmeraldo Grotto (although we considered the entrance fee of ?5 each to the Grotto expensive with little to see), shopping in Positano (don't forget to try the Tiramisu!)

We had lots of lunches out whilst sight-seeing and had some excellent food. However, for a local restaurant we thought the owner's brother's restaurant La Taverna del Leone was excellent.

All in all a great holiday. Thank you to the Salvatore family.

Great apartment & bonus of 2 bathrooms so good for 2x couples. Would be best to have your own transport if staying here, however we used the local buses and were fine. Only downside would have to say is the small balcony which is late to receive the sun.
