This is well located near the centre of Cordoba. We were able to walk to all the attractions, and shopping was also easy. We went at Christmas and the weather was unseasonably cold so take coats if you go then.
The host was helpful on arrival and we followed him to find it – its not easy. He also arranged parking close by – about 100 yard walk. Garage space is tight and the streets narrow so a large car is definitely ill advised. Smaller the better really!
The apartment is situated in an attractive renovated building. The apartment itself consists of a large main room which is well furnished on the whole, and a small kitchen which is reasonably well equipped except if one intended to do a lot of cooking. All the equipment and furniture was new when we went (Dec 2004).
Curtains in the living room were a bit sparse and left large gaps, which might bother those very privacy minded.
The bedroom was up some exceedingly steep steps directly from the living room, and was not curtained off in any way so there would be no privacy if there were more than 2 people. Frankly the steps are dangerous as they are far too steep and we held on with both hands going up and down. They would be unsuitable for those who are in any way disadvantaged in terms of movement, or for young children. The bed and bedding were good quality.
The bathroom, lavatory and shower, once again, were fine. After a few days however as other apartments began to fill up, there was a dreadful smell. This had been masked on arrival by air fresheners. It seemed as if the sewage down pipe had no ‘air tight’ bend in it. We ran the extractor fan day and night thereafter and it was just bearable.
The air conditioning system worked fine keeping us warm despite the cold weather.

Despite these problems we had an excellent holiday and thoroughly enjoyed Cordoba; after all we spent most of our time out and about. More guides in the apartment to Cordoba and its environs would be helpful

As it was we would only rate the apartment 2/5 as the two faults of the stairs, and lavatory smell were really quite serious. If they have been put right then we think 4/5 would be appropriate.
