The spacious main bedroom has a king-size bed and plenty of storage space. The window looks out over the hills of Florence: you feel like you were in the great Tuscan countryside, but you are still in the heart of the city of Florence.

The living area has a large window-door to the balcony of the apartment, and it is furnished with great pieces of antique furniture.

The bathroom has a wash-basin, a shower, a toilet, and a bidet. There is a washing machine for your clothes, and a cloth line.

The fully-equipped fitted kitchen has double sink, oven, hob and refrigerator/freezer. The breakfast/preparation table seats 4.

In the living area there is a large sofa for comfortable seating for 3 to 5 people.

After a day walking around Florence and its hills you can leaf through our selection of books about Italy and Tuscany.

With the well-equipped, fitted kitchen you can make the most of the fruit and vegetable market just around the corner, and the cornucopian markets in the Soffiano suburb.

There is a folder of tips about shops, restaurants, and travel in Florence.

There are also some other little touches to make life comfortable and easy in Florence: a washing machine, clothes line, iron and ironing board, a hair dryer, a big English/Italian dictionary - and a range of wellies.

The house is gas heated (not much in demand between April and October); the heater gives hot water as you need it. For your comfort, all bed linen and bath towels are provided.

Lovely spacious apartment on the 4th floor of a suburban block served by a lift. Local buses, frequent and cheap, run from nearby to get you into the City as you will want to save your legs for sightseeing. Lovely bakery for your croissants etc around the corner and good pizzeria restaurant and mini supermarket for staples in the next block. Like everywhere in the City,traffic noise is annoying but it wakes you up early so you don't waste time abed and get up and going. All in all, a comfy place to stay. The owner is charming and his briefing helpful.
