The village is well served with shops, 2 supermarkets (within walking distance) and hypermarkets within 10 minutes drive, plus twice-weekly market. Typically French cafes with tables outside in the summer and good restaurants.

Nearby activities include horse riding, watersports, golf, go-karting, water park, wildlife park and many more in peak season. Plenty of places to visit, including the medieval walled city of Carcassonne, Ceret, Canal du Midi and the Pyrenees, plus duty free shopping across the Spanish Border.

Easily accessible from airports: 20 mins from Perpignan airport (Manchester, Southampton and Stansted.), 2 hours from Toulouse and Barcelona (Bristol, London, etc)

The Pyrenees Orientales gets 300 days sunshine a year and is the best holiday destination with its sandy beaches, palm trees, vineyards and scenic mountains and lots of hot sun. This area is well known for its old castles, forts, good food, great wine and a colourful Catalan culture all of which adds to the appeal.

Le Barcar?s is just 3km away with a stretch of golden sandy beach, which is home to a variety of watersports and a good selection of restaurants, bars, shops and markets open throughout the summer months. The beach leads to its magnificent port and marina which is home to the well known Lydia ship restaurant, casino and nightclub.

All the villages from Le Barcar?s to Collioure follow the coastline and all have excellent clean beaches. All the villages offer excellent facilities for all ages, including an exciting nightlife with some bars and clubs that are open all hours (in peak season).
