Cobble Cottage is located in the beautiful village of Dent, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Dentdale is regarded as one of the most beautiful dales in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The tea-rooms and pubs offer quite a choice for eating out, or you can just enjoy a quiet cup of tea, or one of the Dent brewed beers. There are several shops in Dent plus a bus service to and from Sedbergh, Oxenholme station and Kendal. Dent Railway station is about 4 miles from Dent Village and is situated on the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway line. The Denthead and Ribblehead Viaducts being not far away. Both can be viewed from the road. Dent is central to the most beautiful touring country, with the Lake District and the Yorkshire Moors only a short driving distance away. Moreover, Dent offers the most wonderful opportunity for long or short distance walking. I am unfamiliar with night storage heaters and so left the cottage thinking that the heating didn't work. This was not a problem during a generally balmy - actually too warm - September week. There is also a neighbourhood cat who apparently believes it deserves to be let inside - not a good idea with 2 dogs who look on cats as the ultimate enemy. Excellently well-stocked kitchen in terms of utensils / cookery items. Two remotes for the TV would do a couple well.

Very basic accomondation, acceptable if you are planning to spend all your time outdoors in this beautiful part of the world. I felt it was expensive for the limited space.
