Property Image
Marine Terrace & beach
A wonderful four-bedroom, three-bathroom property on three floors in a superbly-situated, south-facing, 4-storey Victorian terraced house on the seafront at Criccieth with just a quiet road between it and the lovely sand and shingle beach. Ideal for up to four couples, a group of friends or a family/2-family group. Awarded 4* for up to 8 people by the Welsh Tourist board but can accommodate 10 if required.

The open-plan lounge/dining room and three of the bedrooms have uninterrupted sea views across Cardigan Bay to Harlech and beyond. There is a small front garden with a picnic table where you can sit and watch the world go by. During the summer months, dolphins can sometimes be spotted close in-shore.

The kitchen and lounge/dining room (with stunning views) are on the first floor; the family room (double bed + bunks), ensuite double bedroom (sea view) and one other shower-room are on the second floor; and the two twin bedrooms (both with sea views) and the bath/shower room on the third floor.

Criccieth Castle, shops, restaurants, a children?s playground and the railway station are all within 5 minutes walk. Porthmadog (8 km), Pwllheli (14 km) and Beddgelert (18 km) and the mountains of Snowdonia are within easy striking distance.

Brilliant holiday house for a big family, just accross the road from a rocky beach and lots of room for us to spread out inside., Seeing dolphins in the bay from the living room window was a real bonus!
Mairi Howell, Jul 2011,
Dinas View is a very comfortable, well equipped 3 storey house, truly home from home. It has a wonderful sea view and is literally a stones throw away from the beach. My 83 year old Aunt found the stairs hard going and the walk into town a little steep. Self catering is recommended, as eating out in Criccieth is not cheap and finding places that cater for children is a challenge. Cadwaladers Ice Cream cafe is a must - their Coffee Frappes are not to be missed! Sue and Bill, landlady and landlord are very welcoming and friendly but non intrusive; they adopt just the right balance. We had a glorious week and would definitely return for a second visit.

We loved staying at this excellent property (this was our second visit), it's restful - we came home feeling like we'd had a proper break.
