Situated in the small alpine village of La Lecherette, easily accessible from Geneva, this warm and welcoming wooden chalet offers comfortable accommodation for six people. The village has a sports shop, caf?/restaurant and general store. There is a ski lift in the centre, within easy walking distance of the chalet, providing access to blue, red and black runs, and connecting with numerous other ski runs in the adjacent resort of Les Mosses. These provide opportunities for both novice and more experienced skiers and snowboarders. The area is also well-known for cross-country (Nordic) skiing and regularly hosts international competitions in this discipline.

In the summer, mountain walking, cycling and horse-riding can be enjoyed in relaxed and beautiful surroundings, while ice skating, bowling and swimming are available in Chateau-d?Oex, 15 minutes away by car.

The chalet has two good-sized bedrooms (one double, one twin), with plenty of storage space. There is a very spacious mezzanine loft area, which sleeps 2 (or more), and doubles as a relaxing sitting room, with large television and video. The downstairs area comprises a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable Swiss-style dining area, with armchairs for relaxing and admiring the views. In summer, the south-west facing terrace can be used for outdoor eating and the lawn and grass areas are pleasant and cared-for. Parking is available, close to the chalet.

The nearest airport is Geneva and the chalet can be reached easily by public transport or by car. The train journey around Lake Geneva to Montreux, and then through the scenic Golden Pass to Chateau d?Oex, takes approximately 2 hours on the efficient and reliable Swiss railway system. La Lecherette is then just a short ride by postbus. Car hire is available at Geneva, Aigle (30 minutes from La Lecherette) or Chateau-d?Oex.
