We spent 8 nights in a 2 bed bungalow in Villagio Nettuno. We stayed in Sorrento first and the owner of the apt we stayed in, rang ahead to let them know what time we would be booking in at. When we arrived the guy at reception was very nice and we got bungalow no. 8 which i think had the best view of all the bungalows, uninterrupted view of the tower and headlands.
The bungalow was clean and basic. Probably what u would expect for the price in that part of Italy. It had airconditioning which was needed. The living area is just the kitchenette with table and four chairs, a bit cramped but we didn't spend too much time there.
There was a small playground which the kids liked. The shop has very basic items and the nearest supermarket is in Sant Agata. The restaurant was good and value for money. The take-away pizza too was good.
The access to the beach is steep and the beach is extremely stony. We bought airbeds to lie on but in the end we had to go to Sorrento for the beach because Nerano was full of jellyfish everyday! I don't know if this is a regular occurence but several people including my 6yr old son, who was only paddling at water's edge, got stung.
The bus stop is just outside the property but the bus drivers we encountered weren't helpful and we ended up helping any english speaking tourists trying to find out where the stop for Villagio Nettuno was. Probably best to learn few phrases in Italian, just in case.
The high point of staying in Villagio Nettuno was definitely the views and seeing all the boats arrive at the weekend. Its very peaceful. Low points were being bitten alive by mosquitoes in the evening so remember to bring ur repellent and the bed was very uncomfortable!
