This garden level mezzanine style 1-bedroom apartment located in the small, quaint and very old Italian town of San Mamete, just five minutes from the Swiss border. The apartment is situated directly on Lake Lugano in a fairy tale like setting. Inside is finished in local white Italian marble where guests enjoy a light and airy lounge with ceilings extending 20 ft high. Panoramic views of Lake Lugano and the San Salvatore mountain range are unobstructed. Outside, this apartment features a manicured lake-side private garden equipped with loungers. This offers a truly unique experience of al fresco dining with the lake lapping in the background.

NB the main road directly behind the villa is typically Italian - rather narrow with no footpaths and is not recommended with young children. Public parking is accessed along this road.

2nd Stay in these apartments, excellent position, outlook and place, the only downside was that the grass needed cutting on our apartment garden , inventory of kitchen utensils need to be checked, pillows need replacing and would be good to have a toaster as in the other apartment we stayed in before.

Also excessive end of stay cleaning fee 60 Euros for a small apartment!!

Would we stay here again?

The appartment was lovely and was made even more so by the garden that went with the appartment. The proximity to the lake ans the views were outstanding.
We were a little disappointed that we had not been told about the problems parking in the area and it was very much a lottery at the end of the day whether a space would be available in the hamlet. This should have been mentioned in the brief.

Location and view from appartment were superb.

On the downside- There was no wi-fi and therefore internet available as indicated, there was no on-sight parking as indicated - parking is only 5 minutes walk away but along a busy narrow street in an area with timed parking so vehicles have to be constantly moved to avoid parking penalties, and finally there was only two channels available on the TV.
