This is a restored 18th century stone house located in an agricultural village 5 km from the Costa Brava.

Set on the river Fluvi?, Torroella enjoys access to some of the most attractive and least crowded beaches of the Costa Brava and several protected natural areas along the coastline free from the overcrowding of mass tourism. Both the Dal? museum in Figueres and the Aiguamolls bird wetlands sanctuary are just15 minutes away. The village restaurant features typical Ampurdan dishes at local prices, while the local shop offers village-raised chicken and rabbit as well as sausages and charcuterie made on premises.

The house is completely furnished with washing machine, dishwasher and all necessities for a pleasant stay. The ground floor with its ample entry hall and spacious 40 m2 living room has conserved many period features, including arches and vaulted ceilings. The roof terrace and sun room are the perfect place for dining, sunbathing, reading or just relaxing. As well as being close to lovely beaches, this is an excellent base for a relaxing mediterranean holiday all year round, exploring the villages of Girona, enjoying local markets and festivals, visiting Roman ruins, walking, cycling, birdwatching, sampling Ampurdanes cuisine in unpretentious country restaurants. Girona is just 20 mins away on the motorway, and we are near the French border and the Pyrenees as well.

There is a modest supplement for electricity and wood between November and April.
