A 18th-century fully restored stone house located in the village of Pascoso (Apuane Park,2,321 feet above sea level), in the Province of Lucca (Tuscany) not far from the "cities of arts" (Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Siena,etc.)and from beaches (Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio).

In short, the house is made up of: 1 kitchen/living room + 2 bedrooms, 1 with a queen-sized bed and 1 with 2 singles both with full sized pull out beds beneath + 1 full bathroom + 1 powder room + 2 pantries. The house does not have a lawn, but there is space just outside the French doors leading out from the downstairs bedroom for a table, sunshade and chairs. There are two entrances, the front door which takes you into the kitchen/pantry and the back door which leads to the downstairs bedroom, as the house is nestled on a hill, with three floors on one side and two on the other. The house is fully furnished with all new or antique pieces (19th century). We have provided 2 television (1 satellite), radio and cd player, We have not yet installed a telephone (there is a public phone in town if you don't have a mobile), but telephone, computer, and internet access are available at our office. A central heating system has also been installed. And, naturally, a working fireplace adorns the second floor, as how would a farmhouse be complete without one!

Pascoso is an ideal stay for nature's lovers. However, it is not far from the "cities of arts" of Tuscany (Lucca,Pisa,Florence,Siena, etc., and beaches (Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio,which are among the most famous Italian beaches) are no more than 30 miles far.

Pascoso's finest asset, and the most important reason to travel there, is the nature in which it is literally immersed. Pascoso is a hiker's paradise: you can walk all day long without meeting a soul. As you may have already imagined, the only sounds you'll hear in Pascoso are dogs barking and townsfolk chatting. Quiet reigns through the mountainside. Traffic is almost unheard of in Pascoso. There are no nightclubs, bars, or other attractions of mass tourism. However, you will find all the essential services provided by the town's store, which is run by a local family and sells everything to meet your daily needs. Next door to the store, the family runs an old style trattoria welcoming in its genuine Tuscan hospitality.

Another house of the same owner (Property 1022, suitable for 5 people and with a private garden)is available at no more than 50 metres.

Final cleaning (40 Euro) and gas for heating (10 Euro/day), if used, are not included in rental price.
