Sofita is a Venetian stone maisonettes, traditionally built the 19th century, with a pool of 25 sq. metres size. It is situated in the traditional village of Maroulas which is just 10 km. from the town of Rethymno. In the village there is a traditional café. In 1.5 klm there is a taverna and a mini market. The distance to the beach is 3 km. Sofita is a 2 storey traditional stone built house consisting of a bathroom and 1 bedroom with the possibility of accommodating 1 extra person in the sofa-beds which is in the living room. This house is unique for those who would like to taste the unspoilt side of Crete, traditionally, and living in these old houses from the Venetian period. A car is considered to be essential for exploring the whole island.
