The weather is at its best between May and September but expect considerable crowds at tourist sites. From November to March the weather is often cold and damp but the number of tourists falls off dramatically.

Brussels' major train stations link the city to the United Kingdom by Eurostar, and to other major European cities by high speed rail links. For getting around there is the Metro and a comprehensive bus and tram network.
