Devon has a coastal path extending along both it’s north and south coasts providing some breathtaking walks. Dartmoor and Exmoor also are great to explore on foot or on horse or bicycle. Sailing is very popular with the Salcome estuary possibly the most famous. Good surfing is to be found on the west facing beaches near Woolacombe. There are some interesting historic houses in the county and Exeter and Plymouth are great shopping cities.
