Golf has been played in St Andrews for some 600 years and the Old Course is arguably the most famous golf course in the world. There are many wonderful courses in the immediate vicinity and a visit to the British Golf Museum of interest. St Andrews has a wonderful beach and there are some quaint fishing villages just a short drive away. There is a Fife Coastal Path.
