Norrland is the largest region by area, its land area constitutes about 58 percent of Sweden's total territory.
Norrland is known for its untouched wilderness: wide forests, large rivers, waterfalls and even the odd wandering reindeer. Many people live in rural areas & small villages rather than urban towns & cities along the coast.

Connex runs daily trains between Stockholm and Narvik, Norway with several stops along Norrland. Sleeper accomodations are available. Reservations are required to use the Eurail Pass.

Things to see: midnight sun, the Northern Lights, Lapland, the Arctic Circle. In summer, hire a bike or go hiking in the mountains. You can even go mid-summer skiing at Riksgr?nsen. In winter hire a snow scooter, try dog sledding, or simply go skiing.
